Rollercoaster Ride of 2021 Finally Comes to An End!

What a year it's been! I literally feel like I was lifted up into the air as if I was on a rollercoaster and got thrown around by life now finally landing safely - but at a new destination.

How was 2021 for you?

When I entered into 2021, I was having personal relationship problems (more than I ever had) with my husband and my mom and it was really upsetting to me. Without going into too many details, I learned once again that all the problems that was created was there to teach me something about myself - not to blame those outside of me.

Like the famous quote by Japanese poet Haruki Murakami, "Pain in inevitable. Suffering is optional." This is so true.

I am a person who loves to reflect. Reflection allows me to learn from my experiences so I don't need to live through the pain again. I am a deep thinker and I feel much - much more than I show to the world.

When I am hurt, I hurt deeply. And as I grow wiser, I am also learning to let-go, forgive and have compassion for myself and others. We only do the best that we know how.

As I worked very hard on personal development the past two year, I also realized that I have grown into the Coach that I was meant to become. Having been in the field of mass communications and entertainment, it was a natural transition for me into Presenter and Communications Coaching. I am still and will always love being on stage and on camera, but now I can teach others how to communicate bravely and deeply from their hearts.

I am thankful to the many new individual clients who trusted in me this year along with the International Schools and Universities that I trained at this past year. THANK YOU for the opportunity and trust to be with your students.

Working with high school to university students up to adults is very fulfilling especially when the students put in the effort, heart and the desire to improve themselves while they allow me to guide them. We take for granted what we already have but we forget to do it consciously and with focus.

Words have power. It can start a war or heal your pains.

To dive into your mind and be aware of how you communicate requires a coach who had been to the dark corners of the mind.

One of the most diligent and accomplished student is N' Punn (Punny Boy) whose parents decided to have him work with me for 16 sessions under my 'Discover Your Voice' program. His progress is spectacular and he said he had no more fear speaking in front of others now. He was already confident but needed the guidance to become more comfortable with himself. Learning through zoom (online) actually was no hindrance as long as you put in the time, effort and practice. I am so proud of you N' Punn.

I am also thankful to Headstart International School, British International School and BCIS for welcoming me to coach their students, act as their LAMDA examiner and be their year end keynote speaker. I felt that my hardwork and preparations was all worthwhile as my message is reached into the hearts and minds of our youngsters.

They are our future.
