I want no ordinary life but an extraordinary one
Being an immigrant from Hong Kong to America at the tender age of 10 deeply influenced my life choices today. And being the only Asian face at school dealing with racism and discrimination while I had to work hard to assist my family at our Chinese restaurant almost everyday made me feel trapped and insecure on many levels.
But my life is great! Why would I say that?
It's because if it wasn't for those kids who made fun of me and my parents for pushing me outside of my comfort zone all the time, I wouldn't dare to live a meaningful life.
Now, I have to thank them for leading me to create my present life and I am very grateful. Now... I can dare to live an extraordinary life.
